この漢字、読めますか。

Can you read this kanji?

Pouvez-vous lire ce kanji ?

月初めに食卓でカレンダーを読むのが、いつの間にか我が家の習慣になりました。

At the beginning of each month, I read the calendar with my family at the dining table: it has become a routine for us.

Au début du mois, chez nous, on lit le calendrier à table : c'est devenu notre habitude sans même que l'on s'en soit rendu compte.

‍

‍夫(フランス人)が読み上げて、漢字の読み方や意味が分からなければ、息子が説明します。

My French husband reads it aloud, and if he doesn't know how to read kanji or what it means, our son explains it to him.

Mon mari français le lit à haute voix, et s'il ne sait pas lire les kanji ou s'il ne comprend pas leur signification, notre fils le lui explique.

‍

夫の日本語学習歴は30年ですが、習得した漢字の数は、息子が小学校6年生(11、2歳)の時に追い抜かれてしまいました。

My husband started learning Japanese 30 years ago, but my son had already surpassed him in the number of kanji he had learned by the time he was in 6th grade (age 11–12).

Mon mari a commencé à apprendre le japonais il y a 30 ans, mais mon fils l'a dépassé en nombre de kanji appris lorsqu'il était en 6ème année de primaire (âgé de 11-12 ans).

‍

一般的に日本語学習者が苦労するのは、このカレンダーに載っている「宿る」「育む」等の訓読みですね。

Generally speaking, Japanese learners struggle with "kun’yomi" readings such as “宿る” and “育む” which you can find on this calendar.

(kun’yomi: Japanese-based readings, on'yomi: Chinese-derived readings)

De manière générale, les apprenants de japonais ont du mal avec la lecture de « kun’yomi » comme « 宿る » et « 育む » que vous trouverez sur ce calendrier.

(kun’yomi : lecture d’origine japonaise, on’yomi : lecture d’origine chinoise)

‍

これらの和語が使えるようになると、もっと自然な日本語になりますよ。(読み方は、「宿る」は「やどる」、「育む」は「はぐくむ」でした。)

However, if you learn to use these Japanese origin words, your Japanese will definitely sound much more natural! (The readings are "やどる" for 宿る and "はぐくむ" for 育む.)

Cependant, si vous arrivez à utiliser ces mots d'origine japonaise, votre japonais sera évidemment beaucoup plus naturel ! (La lecture était « やどる » pour 宿る et « はぐくむ » pour 育む.)

11月に入って、カレンダーも残り2枚になりました。そろそろ今年を振り返る時期です。

Now that it's already November, there are only two pages left in the calendar. It’s time to look back on this year.

Comme nous sommes déjà en novembre, il ne reste plus que deux pages au calendrier. C'est le moment où on repense à cette année.

‍

今年最初のブログのテーマは、「信頼」でした。

My first blog post of the year was about "trust".

Mon premier article de blog de l'année portait sur la « confiance ».

思い描いたとおりの1年になったでしょうか。

I wonder if 2026 has been the year I imagined.

Je me demande si l'année 2026 a été celle que j'imaginais.

‍
